Mrs. Ida M. Buchanan, 81, a former resident of Caruthersville, died at Deaconess Hospital n St. Louis on April 2 and her funeral was held on April 5 at the Drehman-Harral Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Oster of Berkeley Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park at Normandy, St Louis County.
Mrs. Buchanan was born in Decatur County, Tenn., February 13, 1890, the daughter of J.W. and Martha Jane Toten. On October 15, 1909, at Newbern, Tenn., she was married to Allen M Buchanan, who preceded her in death in September 1960.
She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Ruby Johnson, Mrs. Robbie Waller, Mrs. Ruth Roedder, Mrs. Robina White, Mrs. Rebecca Fillman and Mrs. Billie Jane Scanio; twenty grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. One son, Thomas W. (T. Buck) Buchanan preceded her in death January 3, 1963.
