Leah M. Wilhelm, 93, 300 Buckeye, died April 12, 1990 at her home. Born Leah Mae Wagner Sept. 23, 1896 in Hoisington to Philip and Katherine (Wittig) Wagner. She had been a resident of Great Bend since 1941. She married John George Wilhelm in September 1919 in Otis. He died in May 1953. She was a retired teacher having taught at one room school houses including Lone Star School and Sunflower School in Rush County. Mrs. Wilhelm was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Graveside services were held at 11am Saturday, April 14, 1990 at Great Bend Cemetery with the Rev. John Saville officiating.

Survivors include one son, Laurin Wilhelm of Baldwin City; two daughters, Darlene Timmons and Aileen Boivin, both of Great Bend; one brother, Rev. Daniel Wagner of Evans, Colo.; one sister, Mary Wagner of Kinsley; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
