Howard David Owen, 67 of Waynesville, NC passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at Mission Hospital. He was born March 20, 1947 to the late Herman and Elfie Sutton Owen.

Howard had a love for working on car motors and carburetors. He enjoyed circle and drag racing. He retired from Champion International Paper.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at Garrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home with the Reverend James Hensley officiating.

Burial will be held at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
