Tehachapi native Denise Renee Roberts-Warren went to be with Jesus, at home surrounded by her family and close friends, on July 20, 2014. She was 52 years old.
Denise was born to parents Preston Bruce and Anna Lee Dungan on June 25, 1962, at Tehachapi Hospital. Denise shares her birthday with her sister, Allyson, who was born two years earlier.
Working as a medical assistant, she spent her work years at Oak Tree Medical Group. On July 15th of this year, she married the love of her life, Mark Edward Warren. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tehachapi. Active in numerous groups, she led a Kiwanis group, youth Bible studies, and taught youth Sunday Schools. Denise served and loved her Lord and Savior.
Denise loved pigs, of which she had hundreds in her home that she even nannied. Most were gifted by her family and friends. She also loved the color yellow, sunflowers, violets, and yellow roses.
Surviving her are her husband, Mark; sons, Joshua and Brittany Roberts, Cameron Roberts, and Aaron Warren; grandchildren, Kaidyn Roberts, Joseph Gaeta, Jaxson Roberts, and Weston Gaeta; sisters, Allyson and Eric Wallace and Sandy and Dave Coolbaugh; multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her dog, Dexter.
Funeral services were held on Friday, July 25, 2014, at The First Baptist Church in Tehachapi. Pastor Ron Barker officiated the service. Arrangements were made with the assistance of Wood Family Funeral Service, Inc. For condolences please visit woodmortuary.net.
