Lois Tarlton Logan
Obituary

Lois Tarlton Logan (97) died February 13, 2011. She was born December 17, 1913 near Hobart, Oklahoma, to Ira and Hattie (Gault) Tarlton. The family later moved to Garber, OK, where she lived until she was 16. In 1930 her family moved to Norman so that Lois and her sisters could eventually attend the University of Oklahoma. She majored in accounting and worked as a bookkeeper until her first son was born. Thereafter, she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Willis Rae Logan Sr., who died in 1999. She is survived by sons, Willis Rae Logan, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Enid, and Ira David Logan and wife Sally of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by one sister, LIllian Handley of Brennen, TX. Sister, Blanche Brixey of Joliet, IL preceded her in death at the age of 92. Also surviving are grandson, Jeffrey Logan and his wife Maria of Edmond; and granddaughters, Sarah Thompson and husband Billy of Enid, and Emily Oyler and husband Tim of Edmond. She was blessed with four great-granddaughters, Alexandria Thompson, Madeleine and Audrey Oyler, and Olive Logan. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Linwood United Methodist Church or the City Rescue Mission in Okla. City.
