Oliver ``Ollie'' E. Bearman, 82, of Coal Valley, died May 28, 2004, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sullivan-Phillips Mortuary, East Moline. Burial will be in Coal Valley Township Cemetery. There is no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Glen Home or to the family.
Oliver was born April 21, 1922, in Milan, to Edward and Pearl Brasmer Bearman. He married Beverly J. Murphy Dec. 28, 1958, in Springfield, Ill.
Oliver was the founder of Bearman's Used Auto Parts, NKA Auto Acres, Milan. He was also the founder of Ollie Bearman's Used Cars, Milan, and former owner of Bev & Ollie's Night Club, Andalusia, NKA Ducky's. He also previously owned the Oakwood Motel, Bearman's Used Cars, Geneseo, the former Milan Antiques, and Hidden Lakes Camp Grounds, Taylor Ridge.
He was a former member of the Moline Elks, Rock Island Moose Lodge, and Knights of Pythias, Milan.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting Jim Beam bottles, and coins. In his past time, he enjoyed going to the casino and shooting craps.
