Mrs. Casper (Cap) Cronenberg, 87, nee Petty Johnston, of Fredericksburg, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with the Rev. David Priem officiating.
Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family received friends Friday evening, Sept. 28, at the funeral chapel.
Mrs. Cronenberg was born May 8, 1920, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Irwin Johnston and Hazel Becker Johnston. She married Casper (Cap) Cronenberg, on Oct. 22, 1938, in West Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, one son and their spouses, including Fayejean (Jeannie) and Chris Christian of Fredericksburg; Sharon and Kerry Brown of Oregon, and Roy and Linda Cronenberg of Crowley; eight grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is one sister, one brother and their spouses, including Delvin and Marge Johnston of Illinois, and Rachel and Richard Cadanau of Missouri, and a brother-in-law, Bob Young of California.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cronenberg was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Carol Cronenberg; one sister, Donnajean Young, and five brothers, including Allan Johnston, Irwin Johnston, Douglas Johnston, Herbert Johnston and Johnny Johnston.
