She was born on Dec. 18, 1930 in Akron, Ohio. She retired from the federal government after 30 years of service working in communications.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ruth Ivory; her husband, George Brown; daughter, Lilius Landrum; brothers, Arthur, Donald, and Edmund Ivory; and sister, Alice L. McMillan.
She leaves, to cherish in loving memory, sons, David Hartwell and Julius (Mary) Landrum; special niece, Shelia Lewis; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many other family members and friends.
Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at 12 p.m., at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, Bishop Marc Neal officiating. Interment at Glendale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 184 Reid Terrace, Akron, Ohio 44310.
