PETER J. CONNOLLY DIES AFTER FALL
Peter J. Connolly, 70, of 1144 N. Eighth St., died at 3:54 p.m. yesterday at St. John's hospital where he was admitted earlier yesterday afternoon after he was injured in a fall at his home.

Coroner W.L. Dragoo stated that Mr. Connolly apparently fell backwards down a flight of steps at his home, suffering injuries to his head and right shoulder. A time for the inquest has not been set.

Mr. Connolly was born in Springfield on March 3, 1880 [note: Draft Registration has March 2], a son of the late Michael and Mary Connolly.

He was a member of St. Joseph's church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary Apblett, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Josephine Pavelick, Benicia, Calif.; and Mrs. Robert Truax, Springfield; three sons, James P., Napa, Calif.; Timothy J., Benicia, Calif.; and Michael J., Springfield; four sisters, Miss Elizabeth and Miss Mary Connolly, Springfield; and Miss Agnes and Miss Josephine Connolly, Washington, D.C.; one brother, Hugh A. Connolly, Springfield; 11 grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.

His wife, Helen, died in 1918.
