Dr. John Morgan Waters, age 90, of Hightown, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, at The Springs Nursing Center. He was born May 4, 1915, in Manassas, a son of the late Robert Weir and Alice Maude (Morgan) Waters. On July 7, 1944, he married Mary Currell (Pattie) Waters, who preceded him in death on Nov. 12, 1990. Dr. Waters was a retired veterinarian, whose office was in Manassas. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in the European Theatre. He is survived by three daughters, Virginia Waters of Ukiah, Calif., Dr. Susan Waters of Waialua, Hawaii, and Kathy Cobb and her husband, Col. Jim Cobb of Hightown; two granddaughters, Morgan and Mary Kate Cobb and a brother, Bob Waters and his wife, Ruth of Silver Spring, Md. The body will be cremated. A graveside service will be conducted at noon, Monday, Jan. 30, at Stonewall Jackson Memory Gardens in Manassas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Highland County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 268, Monterey, VA or Highland Medical Center, P.O.
