Theodore Collins, Jr., 74, of Lake Charles, LA died at 1:08 PM on Monday, July 28, 2014 in a local hospital.

Mr. Collins was born January 14, 1940 in Church Point, LA and has lived in Lake Charles, LA for the past fifty-four years. He worked at PPG as a supervisor of the Mercury Cell Division, where he retired after thirty-three years of service. He was a member of the Small Pony Express Trail Riders. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Counsel #141, where he also served as their bartender. Mr. Collins loved to work and stay busy. His calling was for helping others in need and never met a stranger.

Mr. Collins is survived by his sons, Marvin Collins and wife Gale of Baytown, TX and Bryant Collins and wife Julie of Lake Charles; brother, Joseph Collins and wife Ann Reed Collins of Lake Charles; sisters, Jessie Collins Roberts and husband Russell, Denise Collins Roberts and husband John, Ruby Collins Guillory and husband Delton, and Christine Collins McDonald, all of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Crystal Larrieu and husband John, James Collins, Aaron Collins, Drue Collins, Brooke Victorian and Brittany Victorian; great-grandchildren, Avery June Collins, Grace Larrieu, Jack Larrieu, Brayden Pelt, and Brianna Pelt; close family, Christina Carr and Jonathan "J.B." Carr; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mathilda and Theodore Collins, Sr. and siblings, Martell Collins, Jacob Collins, Della Guillory, Lou DeVille, Michael Collins, and Peter Jim Collins.

His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Father Jeff Starkovich will officiate. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM with a rosary at 10:00 AM.

Pallbearers for the service will be Jonathan "J.B." Carr, James Collins, Aaron Collins, T.J. Collins, Chris Arceneaux and Ralph Schlesinger.
