She was born April 13, 1920 in Weir, KS the daughter of Frank and Nellie Hines Shaw.
She had been a resident of Pittsburg for 72 years, moving from Weir, KS. She was a graduate of West Mineral High School.
She married Clarence C. Woods on July 3, 1942 at the Weir Baptist Church and he survives in Pittsburg.
Mrs. Woods was a homemaker for most of her life.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg, KS.
Survivors include her husband Clarence C. Woods of Pittsburg, one son David C. Woods and his wife Carol of Shawnee, KS, a brother Bernard Brady of LaCygne, KS, one sister Patricia Whittle of Anza, CA, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Robert Shaw and Arthur Shaw.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Wednesday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway in Pittsburg, KS, with the Rev. Gene DeWitt, officiating.
Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Pittsburg Public Library.
