Funeral services for Robert Bruce Garriott, retired wholesale meat salesman and resident of Miami for the last 40 years who died at Miami Baptist hospital Friday night, will be conducted at the Goodson-Durnil chapel here at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
The Rev. Guy C. Tetirick, pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate. The body will lie in state at the home, 104 M street southeast, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Ernest Young, Claude Boyd, Ernie Albro, Joe Bernardi, William Todhunter and John Kidwell. Burial will be in GAR cemetery.
For more than 30 years prior to his retirement about 10 years ago, Garriott represented some of the nation's major meat packing companies in this district. Had he lived until next Tuesday, he would have been 77 years old.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary L. Garriott of the home; a brother, Albert Garriott of Pittsburg, Kas., and a nephew, Ralph Garriott of Wichita, Kas.
