Reuben J. Bailey, 82, died in Oxford View Nursing Center, Wednesday at 9:30 pm. Born in Leslie County, Ky., he was the son of W.H. and Nancy Shephard Bailey.
He was educated in the schools of Somerset, Ky., and married Catherine Rose in 1916.
He was manager of Seward Taylor Insurance Co., for 33 years, retiring in 1964. He was a member of First United Methodist Church; former member of Hamilton Kiwanis Club and YMCA and was also a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine; two brothers, Drew and Robert Bailey; three sisters, Della Owens, Mable Lay and Rachel Randolph.
Private services will be at Webb Funeral Home with burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
