Obituary of Linda Kay French

Linda Kay French, age 67, of Gulfport, passed away on July 28, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Joseph French.

Survivors include her mother, Lucille Keith French, and several cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was a lifelong resident of Gulfport and graduated from Gulfport High School in 1964. She also graduated from USM with a bachelor's degree and William Carey University with a master's degree. She retired from the Harrison County School District where she served as principal of Saucier Elementary and Orange Grove Elementary. She was an original organizer of the "40's Party", a member of the Gatormates, Hibernia Marching Society, GPT High Class of 1964 Reunion Committee, Gulfport Historical Society, the MS Retired Educators Association, and several other civic and social organizations. She was an active member of St. James Catholic Church where she served as a Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Thursday, July 31, 2014, at St. James Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10 – 11 am in the church.
Entombment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be sent to St. James Catholic Church, 366 Cowan Road, Gulfport, MS 39507.
