Mr. E. C. Edge
This announcement is offered in loving memory of E.C. Edge, 69, of Newnan, a man loved by many as the dedicated husband of Frauline Edge; the loyal father to, his son, Eric Edge; his daughters, Holli Justiss and Rita Greshman; sons-in-law Ted Justiss and Larry Greshman. He was preceded in death by a son Chris Byram. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Kandi Prowant, Kim McDonald, Tyler and Morgan Justiss, Amber Coffee, Kyl, Dusty and Nicholas Byram. There is an extended family of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a brother, Roy Edge and sisters, Mae Stephens and Helen Williams. E.C.'s work ethic was legendary as he served for many years in the finance department of the Coweta County Schools. After retiring from Coweta County, he started a second career in the Henry County School System. But for all his titles and accomplishments, friends will always remember him for that hug or handshake that you knew was coming when one met him on the street. The funeral arrangements are being handled by McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson Street in Newnan where the family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rick Duncan officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Edge's memory to The American Heart Association.
