Cathy J. Spivey, age 66, of Panama City and formerly of Elwood, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Miller's Merry Manor surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness.
Cathy was born on February 28, 1948, in Elwood to Mark and Mary Jane (Dague) Henn.
On October 29, 1965, she married the love of her life Dan Spivey. Cathy enjoyed bowling, golfing, shopping, going to the casinos. She also enjoyed watching cooking shows on TV. She especially loved to cook and spend time with her husband, children, and beloved dog Lilly.
Cathy is survived by her Husband, of 49 years, Dan Spivey of Panama City, Florida; Son, Matt & (Marty) Spivey-Bevington of Elwood, Daughter, April Spivey of Tipton, Brother, Tony (Jennifer) Henn of Elwood, Sister in law, Sherry Henn of Florence,AL, and several nieces & nephews.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Larry & David Henn, and a sister Suzanne Fihe-Meyer.
A celebration of life service will be at 7:00 pm Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, with her family & friends conducting her service.
Visitation for family & friends will be Thursday, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana 46036.
