Services for Maxine J. Reagan, 88, of Pierce will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierce with burial in Fort Indiantown Gap Veterans National Cemetery at Annville, Pa.


Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Pierce with the Rev. Keith Rezac officiating.


She died Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Plainview Manor in Plainview.


She was born Nov. 22, 1925, at Pierce to Evan and Malinda (Stevens) Thompson.


She graduated from Pierce High School in 1943


She was married to Terence Reagan III on Aug. 19, 1949, at Denver, Colo.


Her husband's military career spanned 27 years, and she lived around the world as a military wife. Maxine was a member of the non-commissioned Officers Club.


They moved to Pierce in 1972.


She worked many years for the Pierce County Extension office.


She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pierce, past organist of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Altar Society, Cub Scout den mother and leader, active with the Pierce Senior Center, past president and lifetime member of American Legion Auxiliary and member of Happy Hollow Extension Club.


She enjoyed camping, bowling and her family. She enjoyed spending her winters in Mesa, Ariz.


She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.


Survivors are five children, Teralyn and husband David Mailey of Palmyra, Pa., Kevin and wife Marilyn Reagan of Pierce, Mark and wife Charlotte Reagan of Pierce, Tracey and husband Dan Campbell of Albia, Iowa, Matthew Reagan of El Mirage, Ariz.; grandchildren Travis and wife Tanya Reagan, Justin Reagan, Jennifer Duchene, Brandon Reagan, Nichole Reagan, Christopher Reagan, Michael Oatman and William Oatman; great-grandchildren Leah Reagan, Logan Reagan, Autumn Reagan, Reese Reagan, Ryder Schmoll, Emma Dietz; two sisters, LaNeta and husband Paul Abler of Norfolk, Corlyn and husband Melvin Klug of Omaha.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Evan and Malinda; husband Terence Reagan III; brother Don Thompson of Austin, Texas; and sister Eleanor Benedict of Stockton, Calif.


Music will be by organist Celine Fehringer and soloist Rick Higgins with "Ave Maria," "In the Garden" and "Old Rugged Cross." Casket bearers will be grandsons Travis Reagan, Justin Reagan, Michael Oatman, William Oatman, Brandon Reagan, Christopher Reagan.
