Sara June Barnett, 20, of Decatur, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 in St. Mary's Hospital.
She was born April 22, 1994 in Decatur, the daughter of Brad Barnett and Sherene Burcham. She loved playing Park District Softball and music. Sara was a Christian that loved life, her family, and friends.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her father Brad, mother Sherene, brothers Brendan Barnett and wife Sabrina and Justin Barnett, grandparents Stuart Jones, Carl Yaegel, and Judy Yaegel, great-grandpa Bill Baney, aunts Tracy Baum and husband Craig, Christy Firnberg and husband Ted, Lisa Mooney and husband Pat, Carla Yaegel, and Tanya Smith, and several loving cousins and friends.
She was reunited in Heaven with her grandma Shirley Jones, grandpa Barney Barnett, and great-grandma Fern Baney.
Services to celebrate Sara's life will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, 2801 N. Monroe St. Decatur. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
