Mr. Rebert was born in McKnightstown, the son of the late John and Ruth Ball Rebert.
He was a member of the Fairfield Fire Company and the AMVETS of Fairfield. He served with the United States Army during World War II.
He was employed with the El Vista Orchards of Fairfield for 20 years and served as tax collector for Hamiltonban Township for the past 24 years. He was a member of the Adams County Fish and Game Association and the Adams County Volunteer Firemen’s Association.
Survivors include; his wife, Ruby Gant Rebert; one brother, J Clark Rebert of Orrtanna; one sister, Betty Musselman of Gainesville, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. David Humsberger officiating. Burial will be in the McKnightstown Cemetery.
