TIFFIN - Doris R. Drake, Tiffin, died at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin. She was 78. Born May 16, 1925 in Seneca County, she was a daughter of Marion O. Sr. and Mary Alma (Hilderbrand) Drake. Surviving are a sister, Etho Jumper, Tiffin; two brothers, Harold and Marion Jr., Tiffin; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph. Ms. Drake was employed by Dr. and Mrs. Walter A. Daniel for more than 40 years. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Tiffin. Ms. Drake was a member of Eden Grange 2550 in Melmore and the Melmore Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden, and baking cookies. A memorial service will be Saturday, April 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Hayward officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore. Visitation is at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, on Friday, April 2, from 4-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church or Heartland Hospice.
