Mary E. McEwen, nearly 71 years of age, died last Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. Kellerman of this city. Funeral services were held today at the First Christian Church. Interment was at Ford's Cemetery.
Mrs. McEwen was one of the well-known pioneers of the county and the Southwest. Her first husband Sidney Ford, for whom Fords Prairie is named, was one of the settlers of the early 50s. For some time she has made her home with her daughter here.
