CANTRELL, JAMES WILLIAM JR., 70, died Monday, July 21, 2008, at Baptist Hospital East Palliative Unit. He was born, January 30, 1938 to Ethel and James William Cantrell, Sr., who preceded him in death. He was a retired office manager for the General Brush & Chemical Company, Inc. and worked for J. C. Catering Business for over 20 years. He was a member of the Valley Station Moose Lodge, Masonic Lodge #511 and St. Stephen United Church of Christ. He is survived by his aunt, Helen B. Cantrell; dearest friends, Jay and Arva Luckett, who cared for him; and his pet Jay-Jay. Special thanks is given to all who cared for him at Meadowview Nursing and Rehab, with special thanks to Mary Wilson and Terry Blair. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Memorial gifts may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
