Bennie Eugene Hoggatt was born on Feb 28, 1929 to Miles Franklin and Martha Ann (Mattie Murphy) Hoggatt, in Marion, Grant County, Indiana. He leaves behind his siblings Pauline D. and M. Chester Hoggatt. Bennie married Ruth Elizabeth Odle, of Marion, Indiana on June 24, 1948, in Peru, Indiana. Five children were born to this union: Sheila Suzanne Meyer (Grant), Stella Colleen Howard Smith, Bernie Edward Hoggatt (Shirley), Brad Eugene Hoggatt (Ruth), and Christie Ellen Paris (Steve). Ten grandchildren survive: Adam Meyer, Colleen and Philip Howard, Sabrina, Cindy and Christopher Smith; Waldon, Cliffard and Amanda Hoggatt; and Micah Hoggatt. Bennie was a foreman at Chrysler, in Kokomo for many years. He will be greatly missed.
