Carl "Sonny" Stanley, 73, of Hattiesburg, died July 24, 2014, at Forrest General Hospital. Services will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Moore Funeral Chapel in Hattiesburg, followed by burial in Dixie Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Stanley was a master carpenter and a member of Unity Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce K. Stanley; son, Greg Scott Stanley; parents, Buford and Sadie Stanley; a sister, Betty Jean McNesse; brothers, Harold Stanley and William Stanley; and a grandson, Kyle Stanley. He is survived by his wife, Nina Stanley of Hattiesburg; three sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Donna Stanley of Hattiesburg, Rusty and Sunshine Stanley and Joseph Stanley, all of Brooklyn; four stepdaughters, Nina (Billy) Thompson and Helen (Billy) McMullen and Brenda Bolen, all of Moselle and Karen (David) Kittrell of Petal; two stepsons, Ben (Cindy) Stanley and John (Jennifer) Stanley, both of Moselle; 29 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in charge.
