Wilma was born Jan. 7, 1926, in Catawba County, to the late James Alonzo Eckard and Estelle Hollar Eckard.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Eckard Cline.
Wilma retired as co-owner of Studio Q Furniture and was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Clyde Lincoln Lail; a daughter, Rebecca L. Carter of Hickory; two sons, Gary Neil Lail and wife, Susan, of Granite Falls and David Clyde Lail and wife, Cathy, of Hickory, five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray H. Eckard and wife, Sarah, of Hickory; a brother-in-law, Bobby Lee Cline of Newton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 28, at Catawba Memorial Park.
