Lawrence Joseph Pratt died on July 18, 2014 at Saint Luke's Hospice House. He was 74 years old. Lawrence was born on November 26, 1939 to Don and Ida Pratt in Hays, Kansas. He attended Hays High School, received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, and attained his Master's Degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Lawrence worked as an advertising executive in London from 1964-1994. In 1999, he married and he and his wife spent the last fifteen years between their homes in Kansas City, Scottsdale and Bath, UK. Lawrence was a collector of fine art, particularly Old Masters. He enjoyed books, international travel and especially his daily dose of the New York Times. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Ida Pratt. He is survived by his wife and her two daughters, two brothers, six step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements: Cremation Society of Kansas and Missouri, 8837 Roe Avenue, Prairie Village, Kansas. A memorial service will be held later this fall in Hays, Kansas at the Ida Marjorie Pratt Memorial Chapel on the campus of Fort Hays State University.
