The Funeral of the late Mrs Elizabeth Jane Gibbs, wife of Mr. William Gibbs, contractor and market gardener of Stephen Street, Woodlupine, took place on Tuesday afternoon, and was very largely attended. The deceased was born at Cannington, and lived in Western Australia all her life, was 38 years of age, and leaves a husband and family of nine children to mourn their loss, the youngest being only one day old. She was the youngest daughter of one of the oldest settlers in this State, Mr John Spencer. The cortege moved from the Wharf Street Crosing, Woodlupine; and proceeded to the Anglican Cemetery, Cannington, where the remains were interred in the family grave, the Rev. Mr. Howard of Victoria Park, conducting the burial ceremony at the graveside. The pall-bearers were Messrs. W. A. Caporn, A. McIntosh, G. McIntosh, J. Temby, R.E. Cockram and D. Cantwell. The chief mourners were Mr. William L. Gibbs (husband) Misses Ivy and Hilda Gibbs (daughters), Mr. Lionel Gibbs (son), Mr and Mrs John Spencer (father and mother), Messrs. William and Wilfred Spencer (brothers), Mrs. A. Butler (sister), Mrs W. L. Gibbs (mother-in-law), Misses Evelyn Gibbs, Mrs. G. Edwards, Mrs C. J. Arnold, Mrs F. J. Gibbs and Mrs Aubrey Gibbs (sister-in-law), Messrs. Fred, Jabez, Aubrey, and Harold Gibbs (brothers-in-law), Miss Ivy Butler (niece), and Mrs Arthur gibbs (cousin). Many handsome wreaths, letters and telegrams of sympathy were received. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs. Bowra and O'Dea
