Donald J. Morrison, 65, of 325 East Third Street, Spring Valley, died at 3:45am Thursday June 25, 1992, in St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Born Dec. 23, 1926 in Paterson, NJ, to James and Loretta (Dye) Morrison. He married Juanita Margherio on Jan. 8, 1969 in Princeton, IL. She survives.
He last worked for Burns Security as a guard and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Survivors include four sons, James and David of Spring Valley; Donald of Colorado and Terry of Indiana. Two daughters, Cindy of Colorado and Mary Jane of Kansas. Three brothers, Paul of Tennessee, George of LaSalle and James of Wisconsin. One sister, Shirley Graf of North Carolina; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.
Services will be held at 11am Saturday in Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley. Rev. Valentine Liss, Pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Spring Valley, officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10am until the time of services Saturday in the funeral home.
