Jerry Wayne Pentecost, age 61, of Wasco, California passed away July 10, 2014 in Fresno, California was born July 15, 1952 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He lived in this area for 60 years, a retired truck driver for 20 years. He loved fishing and spending time with his little buddy, Justin. He also served our country as a marine. Jerry is survived by his wife, Lela Pentecost of Wasco; a son, Dale Pentecost of Visalia, California and a daughter, Tammy Pentecost of Birmingham, Alabama; siblings, Joe Pentecost of Brooklyn, Arkansas and Willard Pentecost of Marshall, Arkansas. Jerry was blessed with 11 grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 18 at 11am at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco followed by interment at 2pm at Bakersfield National Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, July 18 starting at 9am. Officiating the service will be David Garza of Grace Community Church.
