“Adolf,” son of Johan and Thea Oline “Bredal,” was born on April 7, 1873 in Norwegian Grove Township, Otter Tail County, Minnesota. On September 7, 1873, he was baptized. In the 1885 Minnesota State Census, he is listed with his parents, Johan & Thea Bredal and siblings Joakim, Petra, Marie, Edward, Anna, Jens, Theodor, and Emma in Norwegian Grove Township. On September 16, 1888 “Adolf Bredal” was confirmed.

Around 1900, Adolph married Alice Ingebretson, daughter of Julius and Gustave Ingebretson. They homesteaded in Section 23, of Broe Township, Benson County, North Dakota. Eventually, their farm was sold to John Solberg. Between 1917 and 1920, they left North Dakota for Chicago, Illinois. In 1920, they lived with Adolph’s sister, Anna “Bradell” at 1110 E 73rd St, in Chicago. While in Chicago, Adolph studied to be a chiropractor. Dr. Adolph “Bredell” first practiced in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. At the time of his death, his office had moved to Berlin, Wisconsin. On September 19, 1929, as he returned to Berlin from Oshkosh, he was involved in a head on car accident with a truck. He succumbed to his injuries on September 21, 1929 at Yates Hospital in Berlin. By 1930, his widow, Alice “Bredell” had returned to Leeds, North Dakota to live with her parents, Julius & Gustave Ingebretson and brother, Alfred. After her parents’ deaths, she continued to live with her brother, Alfred.
