Annie Elizabeth Jacobs (4 Mar 1875 in Danielson, Windham, Connecticut - Jul 1965 in Newton, Middlesex, Massachusetts)

She was president of E.H. Jacobs Manufacturing with hundreds of employees and thousands of square feet of floor space in Connecticut, Rhode Island and South Carolina. She served a term at Merchants National Bank of Boston. She was a vocal and prolific promoter of equal civil rights for woman and with her husband published a "Women's Work in War Time," she was also involved in the development of the textile industry in the Southern United State and in Brazil. Her husband published "Brazil: The Promising Land" and "The quest of the long staple cotton" and she served as an official delegate to Brazil. She is a descendant of Henry M Hill who after serving as the United States Consol of Cuba was later appointed by Thomas Jefferson to be Cousel to Bahias, Brazil and later Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where the family established plantations to grow coffee and cotton. Both her fahter, Edward Hill Jacobs and her husband Washington Irving Bullard contributed greatly to the modern textile loom used in mills across the world and both obtained important patents. She traveled extensively around the world and had friends in many countries.

Annie Elizabeth Jacobs' father was Edward Hill Jacobs (7 Nov 1844 Buffalo, Erie County, New York - 27 Mar 1922 Danielson, Windham County, Connecticut) son of Oliver Phelps Jacobs (1822 – 1883) and Charlotte Henrietta Hill (1824 – 1896).

Annie Elizabeth Jacobs' mother was Ellen Perkins Chamberlain (3 Feb 1847 Danielson, Windham, Connecticut - 26 March 1914 Danielson, Windham County, Connecticut) the daughter of John Pierpoint Chamberlain IV (1806 – 1871) and Elizabeth Perkins (1816 –).

On 28 Oct 1903 in Arlington, Middlesex, Massachusetts she married Washington Irving Bullard (22 Feb 1881 Waltham, Middlesex, Massachusetts - 28 Jun 1948 Mecklenburg, North Carolina) the son of George Edward Bullard (1835 – 1885) and Mary Ella Stark Green (Nee Stark Adopted Green 1849 – 1927).

Annie Elizabeth Jacobs and Washington Irving Bullard had three children:

1) Barbara Anita Bullard (1906 – 1998) married Joseph Humphrey Chadbourne, Jr (1900 – 1975) and they had three children:

a) Nacy Pedrick Chadbourne m George Hamilton Maze (1928 - 2012).

b) Joeseph Humphrey "Joe" Chadbourne, III (1931 – 2012) m 1st Ann Hopkins and 2nd Mary McConville.

c) Joan Leonard Chadbourne m 1st William Channing Cattell and 2nd Lt Roland Henry Baker, Jr.

2) Charlotte Francis Bullard (1907 – 1996) married Elton Carmi Woodward (1904 – 1971).

3) Edward Jacobs Bullard (1911 – 1972) married Jane L Longnecker (1914 –) child: Edward Hill Bullard.
