Rebecca was born February 17, 1947 in Wichita Falls, Texas the daughter of John Henry Lewis and Hallie Aline (Croft) Nowell.
She was raised and attended school in Corsicana.
On June 12, 1965 she married William Dale Barfield in Corsicana.
For the past twelve years she had lived in Waco.
She was preceded in death by her father and by a brother, John Henry Lewis Nowell, Jr.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hillsboro.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Barfield of Waco; parents, Hallie Lucko and husband Wilbert of Penelope; three sons, Bill Barfield, Jr. and wife, Belinda, of Barberton, Ohio, Bobby Gene Barfield and wife, Tanya, of Waco, and Benjamin Lewis Barfield of Waco; one sister, Karrie Frances Sykes and husband, Charles Ray, of Corsicana; seven grandchildren, William Dale Barfield of Barberton, Ohio, Merinda Marie Barfield of Barberton, Ohio, Joshua Ray Barfield of Waco, Sidney Scott Barfield of Waco, Kevin Charles Steven Barfield of Willard, Ohio, Cody William Baker of Waco, and Tyler Jordon Barfield of Waco.
