Deborah D. Summers, age 56, of Walcott, died Thursday, July 24, 2014, at her home in Walcott, Iowa.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2014, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant, Iowa. Visitation will conclude with a funeral service and sharing of memories at 6:00 p.m. A memorial has been established in her memory.
She was born March 21, 1958, to Kenneth and Jackie (Sutton) Grigsby in Peoria, Illinois. She graduated from Pekin High School in 1976. She married Bradford Lynn Summers in 1985 in Davenport, Iowa.
She worked as a waitress at the Iowa 80 Kitchen for 16 years, retiring in 2012 due to her health. She will be remembered for her giving spirit. She enjoyed fishing, boating and being outdoors. She loved her pets and above all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Heather Ericksen and fiancé, Tony VanHecke of Davenport, Lynnelle Summers of Walcott; one son, Jacob Harbeck of Walcott; five grandchildren; her mother, Jackie Davis of Pekin, Illinois; one sister, Teresa and husband, Ron Buchanan of Pekin, Illinois; and two brothers, Chuck and wife, Cheryl Harbeck of Moline, Illinois and Kenny Grigsby of Pekin, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her father, her step-father, Jim Davis, and her nephew, Greggory Savelio.
