Velma Lorene Bryce, age 81, of Morrilton, formerly of Hector, the widow of Barney Bryce, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Morrilton Healthcare Center.
A daughter of the late Troy Franklin and Elpha Alice Duck Epperson, she was born February 7, 1925 in Lurton, Arkansas.
She attended the Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Higdon, and a sister, Lucille Morris.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Charles Higdon of Fayetteville; a brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Anna Belle Epperson of Hector; a sister and brother-in-law, Floy and Carl Blanchard of Scott, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Andy Higdon of Fayetteville; Chris Higdon of Conway; and Carol Higdon of California; three great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
A graveside service and burial was conducted by Shinn Funeral Service at 2 P.M. on Thursday, February 1, 2007, at Rock Springs Cemetery near Hector.
Leland and Julia Franklin officiated.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, Western Arkansas Chapter, 322 North Greenwood, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
