Harold G. Boggs, a man with great character and courage from "The Greatest Generation", passed from this life on July 23, 2014. He was born on April 19, 1918 to Harold and Gertrude Boggs.

Harold was a truly joyful and humble man who deeply loved God, his family, and his steel guitar. Harold played many luaus and delighted people with his Hawaiian music.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi and three brothers: twin-Paul, Richard and Charles. He is survived by one sister, Jane Hastings. He is also survived by three children: son, Dalton and wife Barbara Boggs of Edmond, OK; son, Paul Boggs of Oklahoma City and daughter, Marsha and husband Dan Vann of Edmond, OK.

"Granddaddy" leaves his legacy with four beloved grandchildren: David and wife Gail Boggs of Louisville, KY; Jennifer and husband Bryan Morland of Dallas, TX; Emily and husband Ryan Baker, of Edmond, Ok and Natalie and husband Phil Brandenburg of Edmond, OK. Ten great-grandchildren also were blessed to know and love Harold as their special "Granddaddy."

A small family service will be held Monday; however they request you visit ChapelHill-OKC.com to share your memories and messages. And as Harold would always say, "Don't say goodbye, say Aloha!"
