Patricia "Patty" Shoaff Treadway, 82, of Wilmington, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Azalea Health & Rehabilitation Center. Patty was born November 3, 1931 in Wilmington, NC, daughter of the late Gerald Clair Shoaff and Louie Kyle Blanton Shoaff. Her husband, Douglas Howard Treadway, Sr., sister, Jacqueline Davidson, and brother-in-law, Tommy Davidson, preceded her in death. She loved her children and was always their biggest fan at sporting events, especially softball, rarely missing one of their many games over a 30 year period. She is survived by her son, Doug Treadway (Susan); daughter, Darlene Treadway (Karen); special nephew, Danny Davidson; and her beloved dog, "Princess", all of Wilmington. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Friday, July 25, 2014, at Andrews Valley Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11am Monday, July 28, 2014, at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Bauman officiating. The family extends a special "thank you" to caregivers, Cathy, Renee, Sheryl, and Jeanette. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Patty's honor may be made to the New Hanover County Humane Society, 2405 North 23rd Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.
