David Gosnell, 74, formerly of Kingsport, passed away Tuesday at Life Care Center of Greeneville after a short illness.

He was a special dad, brother, friend, uncle and nephew.

Mr. Gosnell will be sadly missed by all.

Survivors include one son: Little David of Dekalb, Ill.; three grandchildren of Dekalb; two brothers: Kenneth Gosnell of Greene County, and Lonnie Gosnell of Muscatine, Iowa; four sisters: Kathy Hensley of Greeneville, Ada Phillips (Lowell) of Fall Branch, Connie Baxter of Muscatine, Iowa and Areline Roark (Don) of Westmoreland; one sister-in-law: Linda Gosnell of Greeneville; three aunts; a host of nieces and nephews; and his many friends of Kingsport.

He was preceded in death by wife: Linda Gosnell; a brother: Gary Gosnell; and two sisters: Beverly Gosnell and Christine Gosnell.

The family expressed a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown, with the funeral service following at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Lowell Phillips will officiate.

At his request, his body will be cremated.
