McSweyn , Mary E. St. Charles, Michigan Passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Luther Manor at the age of 97 years. Mary Eleanor Sheltraw was born November 6, 1911 in Saginaw County to the late Grover and Hazel (Irish) Sheltraw. She married James F. McSweyn on January 15, 1933; he predeceased her November 24, 2006. She was a member of Brant United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband and her parents, Mary was predeceased by her son, James McSweyn , a grandson, Jeff McSweyn , and her brother and sister-in-law, Woodrow and Ruth Ann Sheltraw. She is survived by two daughters and three sons and their spouses, Ann (Richard) Bellenbaum, St. Charles; Donald "Duke" (Leota) McSweyn , Saginaw; John (Bernice) McSweyn , St. Charles; Sharon (Don) Walker, St. Charles; Thomas (Linda) McSweyn , St. Charles; her daughter-in-law, Cindy McSweyn , St. Charles; 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her brother and his wife, Weldon and Ruth Sheltraw, Hemlock; several nieces and nephews; her special friend, Dodie McCormick, St. Charles. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2009 at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Ernesto Mariona will officiate with burial in Fremont Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd., from 2:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
