GEORGE PHILLIPS

Funeral services for George Phillips, 58, a World War I veteran who died of a heart ailment June 30 at American Lake, Washington, will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at 260 E. South Temple.
He was born April 8, 1887, at Midvale, a son of David and Ellen Jones Phillips. A former railroad clerk, he had resided at 328 S. 8th West until 12 years ago, when he went to American Lake to enter a veterans' hospital.
Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Mamie Avery and Mrs. Pearl Hansen, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Etta Edward, Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. Margaret Jones, Castlegate; and Mrs. Lucille Troyer of Ogden, Utah.
Friends may call at 260 E. South Temple Thursday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Friday prior to services. Burial will be in Midvale city cemetery.
