Chester A. Boncella,age 73, of 7570 Gifford Road, Rome, died Friday, August 9, 1991, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
He was born February 15, 1918, in Syracuse, a son of Stanley and Mary Kwiatkowski Boncella. Mr. Boncella was educated in Glenmore schools.
On September 25, 1943, he married Helen Kruk in St. Patrick's Church, Taberg. Mr. Boncella had resided in Rome the past 22 years and previously resided in Seifert's Corners, where he owned and operated a dairy farm. He later was employed at Laribee Wire Inc. in Camden, retiring in 1979.
Mr. Boncella was a member of St.Peter's Church.
Surviving besides his wife, are four daughters, three sons, two sisters, two brothers, seven grandchildren, one great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home Inc., on Monday 10;30 a.m. and St. Peter's Church 11 a.m. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Taberg Friends may call at the funeral home 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 Sunday. Contributions may be made to Hospice Care Inc. or St. Peter's Church Memorial Fund.
