COOKEVILLE — Funeral services for Sandra Kay Nash, 69, of Baxter, will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 25, from the chapel of Presley Funeral Home in Cookeville. Burial will follow in Nash Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today, Thursday, July 24, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nash passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
She was born April 17, 1945, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Roy and Inez Lowhorn Lafever.
Mrs. Nash was a member of Nash Grove Baptist Church. In addition to being a loving mother and grandmother, she was a devoted wife, caring housewife and an avid shopper.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, J.T. Nash of Baxter; two sons, Mark Nash Sr. and wife Kristy and Nathan Nash and wife Misty, all of Baxter; a daughter, Michelle Jeffery and husband Jessie of Baxter; her brothers, Ronnie Lafever and wife Martha, Richard Lafever and wife Rita and Robert Lafever and wife Joann; and four grandchildren, Mark Nash Jr., A.J. Nash, Cyarra Nash and Katie Nash.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Katherine Lafever, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sam and Edith Nash.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
