Harold E. Williams of St. Helens died March 27 at St. Helen's Hospital at the age of 72. He was born on April 26, 1912 in Cleveland, Ohio and had lived in St. Helens since 1978. He was a retired machinist in the automobile industry and was a veteran of the Second World War. A Citizen Band radio enthusiast, he used the radio handle "Arizona Kid." He was a former member of the St. Helens Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife Pauline of the home, daughter Judy Kelly and son Ray Williams, both of Akron, Ohio, stepdaughters Ruth Johnson of Scappoose and Barbara Stein of St. Helens, six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. At his request no services will be held. Columbia Funeral Home is handing local arrangements.
