Vietnam PHGraduated from Lovington High School in 1962. Attended Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas for one year before he enlisted in the Army in June 1963.

Married in Germany and was the father of three children.

Started his tour July 13, 1967 and was listed as missing on January 29, 1968. He was confirmed as KIA several days later. This was during the TET offensive and things were in a state of heightened activity as the enemy launched their biggest offensive of the war and struck in virtual every province in South Vietnam. At the time of his death, his wife was living in Tacoma, Washington, near Fort Lewis.

His mother was a teacher in the Lovington school district.

At the time of his death, he was a Armored Reconnaissance NCO with B Troop, 1st Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. TRP, 1ST SQDN, 11TH ARMORED CAVALRY, USARV.
