Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman. His love for the outdoors always included the family pet beagle, Elmer. He was a carpenter for local Union #85 of Rochester for thirty years. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy Sea Bees.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary Faucett; three sons, Mark (Belinda) of Saint Cloud, FL, Duaine (Kimberly) of Gillette, WY, Kevin (Angelina) of Bath, NY and a daughter, Colleen Faucett of Bath, NY; his two brothers, Gary (Sandra) Faucett of Bath and Wendell (Michelle) Faucett of Bath and a sister, Sandy Randall of Avoca; also several nieces and nephews. His son, Michael Richard Faucett died in 1965. Richard was blessed with seven grandchildren.
No calling hours will be held. Those wishing may contribute, in Richard’s memory, to Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Southern Tier Hospice or the American Cancer Society “Relay For Life” being held in July.
