Rhoda is the daughter of Ezekiel Kellogg and Naomi Harris. Most records having her being born in the state of Missouri. She came to Utah with her family at the age of 13 which would have been about 1850. She is listed with her family on the 1850 United States, Utah Territory Census.
She married Charles Gardner on August 12, 1855. They had five children, only two of them grew to adulthood. Charles Alma, Laura Naomi, Amanda Ann, Harriett Marie, and Theodore.
She died in 1866 after drinking from a cup that had been used to mix poison for an animal. Her youngest son, Theodore, died 2 weeks later.
All our records say she was buried in the Provo City Cemetery. She is not listed on their official records. There was an older headstone where Charles & Susannah's now is that had her name on it as well.
