A native and lifelong resident of Barrow County, he was a son of the late Howell and Lois Mauldin Parks. He was preceded in death by a sister Geraldine Berryman.
Mr. Parks was a member of Auburn Masonic Lodge #230 F.& A.M. and Sharon Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. He was employed for 32 years at E.V. Camp Steel Works Decatur, Georgia and eighteen years with Ninth District Opportunity Gainesville, Georgia as a Weatherization Director. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his family.
