PRAIRIE DU SAC - Clarence W. Wilcox, age 96, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 1985, at The Maplewood Nursing Home. He was born on February 14, 1889, in Marengo, Illinois. He was married to the former Jennie Wiest. She passed away in 1954. Mr. Wilcox farmed in Clark County, Avoca, and Highland. He had resided in Prairie Du Sac since 1953. Mr. Wilcox was a member of The First United Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Vivian Gottschall of Highland and Inice Heintz of Prairie Du Sac; a son Grant of Cottage Grove; two brothers, Jim of Randolph, New York and Homer of Cattaragus, New York; two sisters, Pearl Chadwick of Randolph, New York, and Helen Christie of Payallup, Washington; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be held at THE FIRST UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH In Prairie Du Sac at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 24, 1985, with Pastor Larry Collins officiating. Burial will be in The Prairie Du Sac Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, at THE GNEWIKOW FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City.
