Charles D. Hale, 80, of Norman, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014, at his home, due to complications from a stroke.

He was the seventh of nine children born January 13, 1934, to Tom and Annie Hale in Boswell, Oklahoma.

Charles was a member of the South Norman Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He is survived by his wife, of 53 years, Betty (Forbau); son, Danny Hale and wife Bonny; daughter, Diane Flores; granddaughter, Chauncey Tatum and husband Bryan; sister, Tela Joyce Barrick; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Jesse, A.J., Kenneth, Jerry and Donald; two sisters, Callie Marie, Sally; and a son-in-law, David L. Flores.

The family greatly appreciates Loving Care Hospice and the compassion they showed in caring for him.

As a child he was affectionately nicknamed "Hoochie." Hoochie will be greatly missed by all.

Memorial service will be 10:30 AM Saturday at the Primrose Chapel. Services have been entrusted to the care of Primrose Funeral Service. For on-line condolences, visit primrosefuneralservice.com
