James Fredrick Daily, 82, Blue Springs, Mo., died Friday, July 18, 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs.

The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to CJCFPD, 805 N.E. Jefferson, Blue Springs, MO 64014 (ref: Memorial Fund/James F. Daily), or to Tribe of Mic-O-Say, HOAC Boy Scouts of America, 10210 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131 (ref: in memory of James F. Daily).

He was born April 15, 1932, in Spring Creek Township, Mo. He worked for Certainteed Corp. 27 years prior to his retirement. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District (CJCFPD) for 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Lewis and Lillian Myra (Dignum) Daily; brothers, John William and Robert Benjamin Daily; sisters, Myra Martha (Daily) Williams and Doris Evelyn Daily; and wife of 46 years, Lynda M. Daily.

He is survived by son, Timothy M. Daily and his wife, Linda Daily, Blue Springs, Mo.; grandson, Stephen M. Daily, Blue Springs, Mo.; brother, Clyde R. Daily, Portland, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was laid to rest with military honors privately by his family in Swan Lake Memorial Park, Grain Valley, Mo.
